Who we are
Field Service Jobs in Chennai, and the Roles Behind Them
Ram Engineering has worked at customers’ plants since 1993. From our base in Chennai we filter, flush and test industrial oil, clean pipelines and clean oil tanks. We are certified to ISO 9001:2015 for our industrial field services.
Six of the nine jobs, 67 of the 71 openings, are on-site jobs at customers’ plants and sites: machine operator, HT electrical maintenance, technician, supervisor, safety officer and driver. The other three are the projects head, the marketing head and the accountant.

Questions About the Jobs
Can freshers, and ITI and diploma holders, apply?
Yes. Every job except the Marketing Head is open to freshers and to experienced people, with a qualification from ITI to Masters, so ITI, diploma, degree and Master’s holders can all apply. The Marketing Head job asks for experience in B2B sales.
Which jobs need a licence or a certificate?
The driver job needs a driving licence. The safety officer job needs a certificate from a safety training programme, and any programme will do. For HT electrical maintenance, no licence is asked for when you apply; which electrical work a person is given depends on their qualifications, permits and training. The other jobs name no licence or certificate.
Will a job take me out of Chennai?
The jobs are based in Chennai, but not every customer’s plant is in Chennai, and we work across India from here, so a field job can take you elsewhere. Every job lists a travel allowance and accommodation, and there are incentives for those willing to travel.
Which working hours apply to me?
The site hours apply when you work at a customer’s site, and the office hours when you work in the office. Both are listed under Pay, benefits and hours, above.
