Don’t Just Maintain Your Plant: Optimise It
Maintenance keeps a plant running. An audit looks at how well it runs: how the power arrives and is used, how the fuel burns and where its heat goes, what state the oils in the machines are in, and where compressed air is lost.
The audits fall into four groups, below. Vinoth Electricals carries out the electrical energy audit and the power quality and harmonic analysis. Ram Engineering carries out the thermal, fuel oil, insulation, oil and compressed air audits. Each audit has a page of its own.
Electrical Audits and Power Quality
The electrical energy audit and the power quality and harmonic analysis are carried out by Vinoth Electricals, engineers, consultants and contractors for 40 years (EA licence No. 2577). Thermography of panels and switchgear, and the safety checks of earthing, relays and breakers, are on the electrical thermography and electrical and safety audit pages.
Electrical energy audit and power quality analysis carried out by

Electrical Energy Audit
Transformer loading, distribution, power factor penalties and the load on each phase, logged over 24 to 48 hours.

Power Quality and Harmonic Analysis
Voltage sags and swells, current harmonics and reactive power, where they reach CNC machines and heavy drives.

Electrical Thermography
Panels, switchgear, breakers and transformer connections surveyed with an infrared camera while they carry load.

Electrical and Safety Audit
Earthing, protection relays, breakers, panels and transformers tested at your site, with a report of the findings.
Thermal and Fuel Energy Audits
Carried out by Ram Engineering, for boilers, thermic fluid heaters and furnaces, and for the steam and hot oil lines they feed.

Thermal Utility and Fuel Oil Audit
Combustion efficiency, stack losses and excess air of boilers, heaters and furnaces that burn furnace oil, LDO or HSD, measured with our own flue gas analyser.

Steam and Hot Oil Pipeline Insulation Audit
Heat lost from steam and hot oil lines, found with our own thermal camera: bare or damaged insulation, gaps in the lagging and failed steam traps.
Plant Fluid and Tribology Audits
Carried out by Ram Engineering. A check of hydraulic and lube oil, quenching oil or rust preventive oil starts from a sample of the oil, tested for condition and contamination; where the results call for it, the oil is cleaned at your plant. These pages describe the tests and the filtration.

Hydraulic and Lube Oil Health: Oil Analysis
Samples tested for condition, contamination and wear: laboratory tests at our NABL-accredited partner laboratory, and the particle count at your site.

Quenching Oil: Tests and Filtration
Sludge, carbon and water in quench oil, checked with the tests the quotation lists and taken out at your heat treatment plant.

Rust Preventive Oil: Tests and Filtration
Dirt, water and sludge in the oil of dip tanks and coating lines, checked before and after the oil is filtered.
Utility and Air Systems Audits
Carried out by Ram Engineering.
Ready to Uncover Hidden Plant Inefficiencies?
Tell us which systems you want looked at: the electrical supply and distribution, the boilers, heaters and furnaces with their fuel and pipelines, the oils in your machines, or the compressed air network. We come back to you with the audits that fit and what each one covers.
Book one audit on its own, or several together. When you book several, you can ask for their findings in one combined report.
Questions About Plant Audits
Who carries out the audits?
Vinoth Electricals, engineers, consultants and contractors for 40 years (EA licence No. 2577), carries out the electrical energy audit and the power quality and harmonic analysis. Ram Engineering carries out the thermal utility and fuel oil audit, the insulation audit, the oil checks and the compressed air audit. For any of them, you send one enquiry to us.
Do we have to book every audit?
No. Each audit can be booked on its own, or several together. If you prefer, start with the system that troubles you most.
Will an audit tell us how much we will save?
Not as a promise made in advance. An audit shows where power, fuel, heat or compressed air is being lost, or what state the oil is in, and what each finding points to. Any saving depends on what is put right, and is measured at your own plant.
Schedule a Plant Health Assessment
Tell us about your plant and the systems you want audited. Rough answers are fine; we ask for what else we need.
Request received. Your reference is {ref}. We reply during office hours, Monday to Saturday, 9.00 am to 5.30 pm. For a breakdown or a plant shutdown, call +91 99400 49505 at any time. Nothing is booked or ordered until we confirm scope, availability and terms in writing.Prefer to talk? Call +91 99400 49505 or WhatsApp us.
